Welcome to Cougar Cross Country!

The Cougars compete in one of the most competitive leagues, not only in California, but in the United States: the South Coast League. The other schools in the South Coast League are Dana Hills High School, Aliso Niguel High School, Tesoro High School, San Clemente High School, and Mission Viejo High School.

Capo Valley has distinguished itself over the years as a tough competitor, sending individuals and teams to CIF Prelims or Finals thirteen out of the last fifteen years. In addition, Capo Valley Athletics was honored by the CIF as the 2006 Orange County Champion for Character school. Congratulations to all of the runners who have contributed to this fine tradition!

 

Important Dates for 2008-09 season:

Newcomer boys: Parent and athlete informational meeting Wednesday, June 11 at 7pm at CVHS in room H-11
Returning boys: Parent and athlete informational meeting Thursday, June 12 at 7pm at CVHS in room H-11
Newcomer girls: Parent and athlete information meeting Monday, June 16 at 7pm at CVHS in room M-3

Boys' Team Tryouts: Wednesday, July 23, 5:30 at CVHS track
Makeup Tryouts: Wednesday, July 30, 5:30 at CVHS track
Note: There are NO tryouts for girls cross country. Please see Coach Sayles for more information on team requirements.
